Right click on a PDF file and select to show Info, then change the application that is associated with this file AND select to apply the change to all files of this type.

I'm using Monterey and have the same problem. When I right-click on the filename, "show info" does not show up. as an option.

The default programs are managed by the OS. The application is not involved in this process to select the default program. You should ask this question in the Apple forum.

You're obviously using an ancient version of macOS. (Nothing personal, but Acrobat XI won't run on the most recent four versions). What version of macOS do you have?

I'm using Monterey and have the same issue, that "show info" doesn't show up when I right-click on the pdf filename. Is there an older version of Adobe Reader available? Thanks.
