Why Are There So Many Connections To Adobe AcroCEF?

I have a single PDF file open.  I happened to have Task Manager open and notice nine instances of Adobe AcroCEF running:

Right click and select properties and they all point to the same executable.

Any idea why so many would be needed?

@Saberman007  The multiple instances of Adobe AcroCEF are likely due to sandboxing, plugin isolation, caching, and resource management. While nine instances might seem like a lot, it's not necessarily a cause for concern unless you're experiencing performance issues.

You can clear the cache, restart the computer, and get updates to see if that changes the process
