Why is Acrobat so bad at handling any PDF's or is it just me?

I need some guidance from the community. I pay for acrobat and expect it to be a simple and effective program for very basic edits to a pdf such as adding a signature or filling a form. To my extreme inconvenience it has become a thorn in my side. It persistently crashes, cant handle even average size files(Average for architectural drawings) it lags badly when editing and in general doesn't live up to my expectations. I use adobe products professionally and they are great, except acrobat which makes me pull my hair out in frustration. Is there something I can do to try solve this? Its the fourth time I've re-installed the program accross two PC's and no change.

Are you on a Mac or Windows machine, and what's the version of the OS? Is it lagging/crashing with specific set of PDFs, or with all? Ensure that the OS is updated to it's latest available version. You may also refer to the article and try the suggestions: https://adobe.ly/3EkwQsj

We're here to help, just need more info.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
