I've noticed that when I print out artwork (PDF) on different printers, I will get different results. I have 2 printouts in front of me printed from the same file. One printout looks fine (printed on a Canon copier). The other is missing certain images from the PDF (printed on an HP printer).
What am I missing? Is this a printer issue, a driver issues, etc.?
We constantly work with graphic arts files and it's important that all of the contents of a file are printed accurately. Is there a certain type of printer or print driver we would be using?
Thanks!

How exactly do you print to each printer?
What software and exact version in each case?
Same or different computer?

Thanks for the responses. Here is my setup:
Computer A:
Windows 7 Pro
Adobe Acrobat DC
Computer B:
Windows 7 Pro
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
Printers:
HP Laserjet M506
Canon iR C3080
The image appears correct on the screens of both computers. The file prints out properly on the Canon iR C3080 from both computers. When computer A prints to the HP M506, some of the detail is dropped out.
Is there a best practice on how to print out artwork (pdf) to a printer (settings, etc.)? Again, we are printing out graphic arts files and accuracy is very important. Is there a particular type of printer we should be using?
Thanks.

if there are elements missing on a page and the print as image option gives a good result then you have definitively a problem residing probably in the printer. Most printers do not show error messages due to their settings. enabling the error messages could give some information.
Please ste the printer models and your OS and version.

What are your software versions please? Not "latest" or DC, looking for a string like 2016.123.43434.
