why is my text printing as hollow squares?

I create PDF files from word documents and digitally sign them for clients but just this morning it started printing them with black squares instead of text. Please help!

Hi,

This sounds like a fonts issue, are the fonts embedded in the PDF? if not are the available on the system you have ( I would assume so as you convert them from word), and if they are not embedded and they are on the system then I would make sure they are embedded.
