Will changing a paragraph in a book file change the entire book (chapter spacing, heading, etc. ?

In a formatted book file, if I change one paragraph will it change the entire book document? I used a book formatter and I don't want to nickel and dime him anymore, so I figured I'd do it myself. Thank you.  JD

There is no global formatting in PDF. If you edit a paragraph, that's all that change. If it is now needs reflow you won't get it. Editing PDFs is a disasterous last resort, and no way should you stop using a proper PDF creator from an editable original. Why not Word?
