will not open pdf files using Safari

i am unable to open pdf attachments or open pdf files while using Safari.  have not tried other operating systems.

Safari is a HTML viewer, Acrobat Reader is a PDF viewer.

thanks sir.  it looks like i had either closed or discarded reader thus it wasn't opening.  i did however uninstalled all and re-installed and that seems to have fixed it for me.
