Windows Tile functionality not working?

New Here ,
Oct 17, 2024 Oct 17, 2024

Community-

Windows > Tile > Vertical /Horizontal not working.   The menu picks appear, but does nothing when I click either Vertical or Horizontal.   Keyboard commands of  Shift+Ctrl+K or +L do not seem to work either.  Running 2015 Acrobat Pro DC and Windows 11.

Any ideas how to fix this?

TIA.

I'm having a similar issue. I'm running the latest version 2024 and when I have 2 files open, click on Menu, Window, Tile, Vertically, the entire program closes. It worked for months until today and I can find any solutions on Google for it. At least I've tried a few solutions but nothing is working. I then downloaded it on my laptop and other PC and it does the exact same thing. Shuts down when I also hit shift+ctrl+L

Glad you posted as it reminded me.   I found a work-around solution that seems to be working.   With both files open, put your cursor on one of the of the filename tags along the top, and drag it out on the desktop.   It will open up a new window with that pdf.    You can then view both pdf's horizontally or vertically.   Please let us know if it works for you too.

Still not working. The moment I drag the 2nd file tab to my desktop, the entire program closes/shuts down 😞 The moment I hit shift+ctrl+l, the program closes/shuts down. I'm using Windows 10.

Ah!  Sorry to hear that.   It does seem to work under Windows 11.

It's inconsistent for me actually. Sometimes it'll work but 99.9% of the time, the whole program shuts down. I'll try upgrading to Windows 11 but my brand new laptop has Windows 11 and it's doing the same thing. lol I think there's a conflict with the keyboard/keypad and Adobe's default shortcut keys. I just can't figure out how to fix it. I want to buy Adobe Acrobate but not if this will still be an issue. Sucks that I have the latest versions of everything and still have this issues which is such a basic feature.

HAHAHHA Just paid for it and it miraculously works now! I've been using the free version for a long time now so I guess they forced me to pay.

It's a little scary knowing they're tracking our usage and purposely malfunctioning it so we're forced to pay for it. I wish I knew that's what it was, then I would have paid sooner rather than waste a whole damn week trying to troubleshoot it.
