won't let me print document 24x36 on my wide format printer, only 8 1/2 x 11

When I go to print to my wide format printer, the document shows 24 x 36, I select the printer, and the D24x36, but it shows a print size of 8 1/2 x 11 highlighted over the 24 x 36 background.  I have done this thousands of times and never had this happen.  I reinstalled Adobe - same result.  I have not made changes to the printer, the preferences and advanced settings are all the same.  Any suggestions? Is this happening with all documents? Does selecting the "Fit", "Shrink", or custom size options make any difference? Did you recently upgrade your printer driver, or your Acrobat installation?
