Acrobat and Reader DC stop working, but Reader XI and Acrobat X opens fine

Hi All!

I have an appraisal PDF document that opens fine for Windows 7 systems running Acrobat X and Reader XI, however any system (Windows 7 or 10) running Acrobat or Reader DC crashes with the error "Adobe <product> DC has stopped working" when opening the PDF. Is there a recommended option in Acrobat X we can try when doing a Save As to allow DC to open it?

Thanks.

Hi Michaelw72861886,

Have you installed the latest update for the  Acrobat DC?

We have released an update today that fixes this issue. This update will be automatically applied to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader DC. You can also open Acrobat or Reader DC and visit Help > Check for updates to make sure you are on the latest patch.

Details about the release: Acrobat Help | Release notes | Acrobat DC, Acrobat Reader DC | Update

Regards,

Akanchha

Hello Akanchha,

Thanks for your advice. I check in Acrobat for updates and it's saying no updates available and mine is at 15.006.30280. What would you recommend at this point?

Thanks.

Mike
