Acrobat Reader 2015: How to Set Default View in Mac OS

I'm running Mac OS 10.12.1 (Sierra) on a new MacBook Pro that has Acrobat Reader v. 2015.020.20042.

Unlike previous versions of Reader, this one opens with the vertical tools panel at right already open. Since I never use any of those options (most of which simply invite me to buy Acrobat), I have no use for this and it only clutters and cramps the view of the document I need. Of course I can shrink the toolbar with a click, but that seems an unnecessary annoyance. Is there a way to have Acrobat Reader default to the page view, with the page occupying the entire Acrobat Reader window?

Preferences is under Acrobat Reader (not Edit), but I finally found them. Thank you!

Yes: on Windows it is under the Edit menu, and on a Mac, it's under the Reader menu. Adobe docs normally list both and I didn't notice that this one did not. Sorry about that, but glad you found it, and now have an answer to your question!
