Can anyone help!!!
As you know flash will be discontinued at the end of 2020. We need to play films within a PDF offline - what are you going to put in place regarding Adobe reader so that this will work?
I have presentations we have developed in PDF. They have films embedded in them. They need to work offline. Flash is no longer being supported by Adobe and will be discontinued in 2020. What can we do?
Thanks

You can still use your PDFs, but you can't upgrade your Reader to a newer version. As long you're using your computer just offline this be no problem.

Hi Radzmar.
Thanks for your answer but it doesn't really help because even the old versions of Reader use flash to play embedded film clips.
Do you or anyone else know how we can continue to play film clips in Reader (offline) when flash becomes discontinued?
Thanks
Best
Martin

Thanks Is_rbis, again none of these threats answer my specific questions. There threads only talk about the use of Flash in a browser and online but I am specifically asking about using embedded film in Reader offline.
Can anyone, please help?
Thanks

Thanks. I haven't tried any work arounds as I don't know any other option apart from using a Mac or an apple device such as an ipad. I have over 550 trainers presenting to teachers around the UK using different types of computers and systems and at least I knew that Reader would be a constant for all no matter what system or device. Using a PC they have had to install Flash but some of the schools and college IT departments do not want to instal flash because they say it is being discontinued and is not supported. So the trainers can't use the PDF presentations with the embedded film clips (which is a big part of the training). The trainers have to be able to deliver the training offine because often within a school setting they do not have reliable internet access.
How come it works on an apple device without flash but on a PC they have to instal flash?
Thanks for your help

I was wondering if you had any feedback for me with regarding a solution to people able to continue playing embedded films in a PDF without flash when it becomes discontinued?
Thanks
