I can print everything from my hp laptop to my Canon pixma printer, except for pdfs. When I try to print from Acrobat reader DC, my printer does not show up in the list of printers. How do I add the printer so that Acrobat Reader can find it? (It's not the driver; the printer driver is up do date.)

Looking at the situation, it seems that you have just not been able to see the printer in Acrobat Reader DC's "Printer" menu and rest of the other apps are able to do the same job without any trouble.
