Whenever I try to print anything, after it prints the document it crashes.  I've reinstalled a bunch of times but there seems to be no fix. Little help?

Hi There,

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC crashes when printing, correct?

We need some more information fore a better understanding:

  • What is the workflow/steps you are doing to print the file?
  • Is this a behavior with a particular file or with any PDF you print?
  • Is the file stored locally on your computer or is it on a shared network?
  • What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed? To check the version of the application please use the link  - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html
  • Please check for any missing updates and try updating the application to the latest version 19.21.20047. Go to Help> Check for Updates. and see it that helps.

You may also try the steps provided in the help articles below

Let us know how it goes

Thanks Amal - it seems to crash when printing a PDF stored in onedrive.

I'm using Reader DC v # 2019.021.20047

I'm "printing to pdf" or to a network printer, doesn't seem to make a difference.

Printing from a local source seems to work so if the onedrive files cannot be used I can make copies.

Hello,
Thanks for reporting this.

We tried to reproduce the same scenario in-house but no issue was observed at our end with latest Acrobat and Reader.
We tried to print a pdf file using Adobe PDF Printer from onedrive to a network location and also locally but observed no crashes.

Can you help us with some more info regarding the issue :

  1. Acrobat version you are currently using. (if Acrobat is installed). Reader version is already shared with us.
  2. Which virtual printer are you using to print the pdf file (eg. Adobe PDF Printer, Microsoft PDF Printer, any other third party printer, etc).
  3. Can you share the steps which lead to the Acrobat crash.
  4. Can you share any file on which the issue was observed.

Regards,
Swapnil Srivastava
