Acrobat Reader DC - Found a higher version

New Here ,
Nov 18, 2016 Nov 18, 2016

Unable to install DC on Mac Sierra. Error message "Found a higher version Adobe Acrobat Reader DC in the installation location. Installation will terminate."

Tried deleting Reader DC from the application folder & reinstalling as root - to no avail.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Hello mauricet1469745

Delete it from Trash as well, then try installing.

Please keep us posted how it goes.

I had to empty the trash before the installer would run.

1) I suggest. running the Acrobat Reader clean up tool.
    https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

2) Then emptying the trash.

3) run the acrobat reader installer. [ whatever adobe is calling there reader these days ]

Here is the result of running the suggest cleaner app. This is incase you need to manually delete the acrobat reader files.
