Dear all,

in acrobat read DC, can I show the text actually being highlighted (instead of the words 'Highlighted Text') in the comment pane?

in such way, I can have a quick view on those important text which have been highlighted in the comment pane at once.

This would be a really great feature! pls let me know how to of the setting.

It's possible this option is only available in Acrobat... And yes, I do know of a workaround, namely this tool I've developed exactly for this purpose: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Retroactively Copy Highlighted Text into Comments

Go to Edit - Preferences - Commenting and tick the option to copy the selected text into highlights.

This setting will only affect new comments you create from the moment you set it on, though, not pre-existing ones.
