Acrobat Reader DC incredibly slow print speed

New Here ,
May 28, 2019 May 28, 2019

I recently installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and find that it takes about 20-30 minutes to print a four-pageAcrobat text document - can anything be done to speed up the print speed to a few seconds as my previous version?

Hi Davidv,

Sorry to hear about such performance experience. Seems you have started experiencing this slow printing with the latest version of Reader only? Was the other version working perfectly fine?

You may check the following-

1- You have already updated Adobe Reader, and now check  your printer drivers too. Install update, if there's any pending.Or reconfigure

2- For testing, disable security setting of Adobe Reader. Open Reader>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">Reboot Reader. Once done, test it again.

Note: Changing the above security settings could pose security risks. We suggest you to turn it back On once you are done with testing.

3- Repair Adobe Reader's installation files once from help>repair installation. Reboot the machine after repair and check.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Akanchha
