Acrobat Reader DC simply stops printing

Hi,

Every now and then, the Acrobat Reader simply stops printing.

I open some PDF document, select File - Print, select the printer I want, and hit the "Print" button. After pressing the button, the "Print" screens disappear and nothing more happens.

The "Progress" popup window that normally is displayed immediately after clicking the print button is not even displayed, and no document is placed in the printer's print queue. I seems that the the program simply aborts the printing. No error is produced.

I realized that the problem seems to occur after trying to print a subset of pages from some document. And when it happens, it does for good. No printing works anymore, even if I try to print the whole document, or even other documents I was able to print before.

Additional info:

- Windows 10 (version 1607 - 10.0.14393), 64 bits, connected with home WiFi (also happens on different computers).

- Printer: Epson L395 Series, connected through WiFi (same problem occurs with another printer, from HP).

- I can print from other programs. Office, notepad, even the printer config test page works.

- Using Acrobat Reader DC (version 17.12.20098.240878).

This is a very annoying problem. Can someone help me please?

Hi J.marcelo,

As you are experiencing the issue while printing PDF from the Adobe Acrobat Reader application, try once to repair the application.

To repair, launch the application and go to Help menu.

Then select Repair Installation from the drop-down menu.

Also, try the troubleshooting steps provided here Troubleshoot PDF printing in Acrobat and Reader if the repair function does not help.

Let us know how it goes.

If the issue still persists, try to recreate the preferences for the application.

You may refer the steps provided here: How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

Let us know if you need any help.

Regards,

Meenakshi
