Acrobat Reader DC

I have recently bought a PC with Windows 10.  The PC has Acrobat Reader DC.  When I attempt to open a document I get the following, "Adobe PDF Document  There is a problem with  Adobe Acrobat/ Reader  If it is running please exit and try again. (15:3)

My knowledge on this is limited.  If you provide directions please keep it simple- clear directions.  Thanks

Hi Topaz,

Sorry to hear the inconvenience caused.

The error message shared above, indicates that either the document  is not supported or the application didn't launch properly.

You check the following-

1- Reboot your computer first.

2- Open the Adobe Reader DC application and then open the document you are looking for.

3- Check with a different file and see if that's also causing the same problem.

4- If nothing works, then you may use the cleaner tool and remove the application- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Thank you.  My problem only occurs occasionally when I am accessing something IE.  I will continue to click on it to get rid of it to be able to continue reading what I am looking at.
