Acrobat Reader is saving all my Powerpoint Presentations as PDF files why? If I try to save a PowerPoint presentation its save automatically as a pdf file - all my PowerPoint Presentations - also on my business one drive have all "transformed into pdf files"?
I am going crazy - I have big meetings the next days - so please help?
Hi Klausl,
Looking at the information shared above, what TestScreenName said seems to be absolutely correct. Because Adobe Reader DC is a free application, unless you don't convert or wish to do the conversion Adobe Reader doesn't have a capability of saving any PPT file automatically to pdf.
You just have set Adobe Reader DC as default app to open all the file formats. So when you are opening any PPT file it opens in Reader.
You may refer to the following help article and make the MS PowerPoin

You just have accidentally set PPT files to open in Acrobat Reader. Change it back.

You may refer to the following help article and make the MS PowerPoint (following the exact same steps as suggested for Reader) as default app. Associate PDF files to always open in Acrobat or Reader on Windows 10
Hope this helps.

If you load Acrobat DC, it may take over default for some of your file types (extensions). Go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps...scroll down to pptx on the left.column..click the box on the right and reset to Power Point. Good luck.
