I have an Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4170 CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GH with Win 10 Home - OC Build 19044.1889 and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Version 2022.002.20191. Microsoft Office 2013. My Windows is fully updated. Some of my PDF's do not open: Error: To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html
There is no update - I am on the latest version. I have de-installed and re-installed. I found a work around by running Adobe Acrobat Reader in Compatibility mode for Win 8 . . . why does it need compatibility mode? I sometimes have to first copy the problem PDF's to my desktop and try "pre-view" and "open with" before it works and it takes a long time to open. I have noticed this pdf is sent with a Google Chrome icon, but when the pdf is forwarded to me, it just shows a normal Adobe icon. I am guessing that pdf's created in Google Chrome portals is the problem? I have installed: Get the extension for "Flow from first read to finished PDFs with Adobe Acrobat for Chrome. Make edits, comment, compress files, and more. All from your browser.", but if I disable the compatibility mode, it does not open the pdf. My colleage is on a new i7 and have also started experiencing the same problem. Can Adobe Support solve the problem?
