Hello @herves78704557

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

Could you please share more details about the issue? Is the Command Q option to quit Acrobat Reader not working?

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20918 Planned update, Nov 13, 2025. Check for any pending updates by navigating to Menu > Help> Check for Updates. Install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

Reset the Acrobat Reader's Preferences and restart the machine. To reset the Preferences, quit Acrobat Reader. Delete the preferences file from the location: ~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Reader.plist. Restart the app.

Check System Preferences: Go to the Apple Icon to access > System Settings > Keyboard > Shortcuts. Make sure ⌘ Q hasn’t been changed or disabled.

If Acrobat is in full-screen mode, some shortcuts behave differently. Press Esc or Control + ⌘ + F to exit full screen, then try ⌘ + Q again.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
