AcroReader max path lenght during file opening

Hello, i faced with a problem during file opening. I cant open pdf with long path, its approximate 190 over characters. I can open odt or ods formats, but not pdf. Is where any limit on max file path of pdf files on windows?, cos all works on linux.

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. AS described you are unable to open the PDF with long path names.

What happens when you try to shorten the path names and open the PDFs?

The limitation to path names on Windows OS is set by Microsoft. I have found a help article from Microsoft support pages https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/fileio/maximum-file-path-limitation?tabs=cmd Please go through it and see if that helps.

Hello. its not windows limitation, cos i can open formats like .xls .doc .odt .ods , which are in the same folder with pdf formats. I counted characters , and it not even 255, the problem starts approximate with 190 characters and over ONLY with pdf files.

I edit group policy and registry like in article and... it works! tried on 222 characters, and my pdf file was opened! Thank you. Made it in Windows 10. Later i will try on windows 7.
