Hi Support,

I have an issue whereby a user faced an error while opening any PDF files from Windows 10 machine version 20H2 (x64).

Error:

RdrCEF.exe - Bad Image

C:\Windows\System32\credui.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.

Error status 0xc0000022

Version: Adobe Acrobat Reader 2022.003.20258

Please kindly provide the troubleshooting steps to fix this issue

Thank you.

Hi hussin28094620999s,

Thank you for reaching out.

Try the troubleshooting steps suggested in the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrocef-rdrcef-errors.html.

If that does not help, try reinstalling the application. Remove the application and run the cleaner tool (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html).

Reboot the machine and reinstall Acrobat Reader from the following help page: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
