Hi,

I am also very interested in an update to the support matrix here, which is clearly outdated:

https://helpx.adobe.com/de/support/programs/eol-matrix.html

Especially, how long Reader Classic 2017 will be supported and what and when the next classic track version will be.

Thanks for reaching out. Please refer to the help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/support/programs/eol-matrix.html) and see if that answers your query.

 Hey Amanda,

Apologies for the delay in response. We don't have any update on Adobe Reader 2017 Classic Track for the same. However, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a freeware application so you can always download the application using the link (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/acrobat-downloads.html)

Dear

I have exacly the same question as originally posted. Your https://helpx.adobe.com/support/programs/eol-matrix.html only lists Acrobat Reader DC (Classic) 2015 with an end-of-life in July 2020. Currently Acrobat Reader DC (Classic) 2017 is available for while but that product is NOT in the list.
So clarification from Adobe is recommended. Thanks in advance.

Hi Amal,

you seem to have misunderstood the question / issue. The EOL list contains the following entry:

Acrobat Reader DC 2015 (classic) General availability: 4/7/2015 EOL: 7/7/2020

and it also contains Adobe Acrobat 2017 (Prof. and Standard) but a Acrobat Reader DC 2017 (classic) is missing. Thus if you could arrange that the fowolling entry is added to the list:

Acrobat Reader DC 2017 (classic) General availability: 6/6/2017 EOL: 6/6/2022

(6/6/2022: since the support timeframe is 5 years and the Reader should have the same EOL date like acrobat)

You can find mentions of this 2017 Reader version in many articles (so it does exists if you may wonder):

https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/acrobat/apsb17-36.html

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/release-note/release-notes-acrobat-reader.html

(cp. headline "Acrobat 2017 and Acrobat Reader 2017 (Classic Track) release notes")

It's a shame. So much time passed and still Adobe is not able to update its own support documentation. I guess Adobe's software must be considered not enterprise-ready. We will try to avoid Adobe software where we can. Cannot rely on someone who is not able to update a simple EOL table.
