Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working during word search

I get the message "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working" when doing a word search in a 600+ pages ocr scanned document. No solutions found, and can't find any info on the web. Please help? Thanks!

Hi Frédéricb19642089,

I assume that you are experiencing this problem only with this particular document.

Could you please try disabling the "Fast Find" by going to-

Menu Edit -> Preferences -> Search ->Purge Cache Contents in  "Fast Find" Section or uncheck the box.

and then try to search in the document to see if that works.
