Adobe Acrobat Reader DC incredibly slow

Acrobat Reader DC has become incredibly slow on our office PC's. Small PDF's( less than 2Mb) open fine but it can take several minutes to go to the next page. Large PDF's are essentially unopenable.

We are using version 2021.011.20039 on Windows 10 PC's, the problem was first noted about a month ago and has appeared to be getting worse/spreading to more PC's in the office since then.

Any suggestions or resolutions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alex,

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Is this behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs that you try to open a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer locally and then try to open it and check.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and reboot the computer once.

You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and check if that works.

Regards

Amal
