Adobe Acrobat Reader DC reopens after saving and closing

Every time I save a pdf and close the program, it immediately relaunches and the same pdf opens back up. If I close again, it will stay closed that second time. It seems to only do this after saving a file. How do I make Reader DC stay closed?
