As mentioned above that, you have have already have updated version of Acrobat Reader then you might need to reset the preferences of the Acrobat to fix the problem.

Please refer to the help document and follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned under it.

I could not find how to reset preferences in the link you gave me.

The updater still just hangs. It never checks on whether there is an update to apply.

I have to kill the process to get updater to release.

Step #5 was of no help. First of all it says go to ..../8.0 folder. There is no 8.0 Only 11.0 or DC.

I chose DC put inside that folder there is no Preferences folder. Or at 11.0 either.
