I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 21.005.20060 (this was updated on 7/28/21).  I have also been using Kofax Paperport version 14.7 and ever since the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC was updated, I get the Blue Screen of Death when trying to open up Paperport.  The Blue Screen of Death Stop Code is "KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED."  I'm not 100% sure if the Adobe update is causing this, but the timing is leading me to believe that that may be the case.  Has anyone had this issue or have any advice on how to solve this?

I am using Windows 10 Pro (64-bit), version 1803.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. AS described the paperport application is not opening and throwing BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) error.

Acrobat runs under Windows as an application and as such cannot by itself cause a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).

As you have recently updated the application to the latest version, please try to reboot the computer once and see if that works for you.

Also please check the similar discussion i have found on Microsoft support page and see if that helps https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/347944/stop-code-kmode-exception-not-handled-bsod...

Hope this information will help

Regards

Amal
