Adobe DC pdf encrypting

Hi

I have just subscribed to DC and I am trying to encrypt a pdf. when I go in via tools  and then protect it just takes me to add and buy now. any suggestions

If you use to Acrobat Reader, cannot be used encryption function.

You need to Acrobat product version.
