When I start filling in a document, adobe closes in 1 second. How can this be fixed? And yes, I have closed all other programs, uninstalled and reinstalled, change preferences in security(enhanced), accepted eula file agreement, replaced the host file, unchecked protected view, none of it has worked for me. Please assist me.

Hi Iga

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As mentioned, the application closes when you try to fill in the document.

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs you try to fill? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try to fill the document and check.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the computer.

As you have tried most of the troubleshooting steps with no success, please try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win only) and reboot the computer once and see if that helps.

If it doesn't work, try to reset the Acrobat preference as described in the help page - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Regards

Amal
