adobe pdf reader why no tabs

Over the years adobe has continued improving their pdf reader but why haven't they added the function of tabs so that it can open multiple pdf's at the same time.

This would eliminate the annoyance of the reader placing the documents at different positions on the screen!

Adobe added tabs around 2016. What version of Reader do you have? Please use Help > About Acrobat Reader or Help > About Adobe Reader to check. Something like 2016.123.98765 or 11.4.56?

Go to Preferences > General > Open documents as new tabs in the same window, then restart Acrobat Reader.

  • Mac: Acrobat Reader > Preferences
  • Win: Edit > Preferences

If it's not there, then install the current version of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader:
