Hello,
we use Adobe Reader DC 19.010.20098 and the Azure Information for Adobe Reader Plugin 19.010.20064 (11. December 2018). If we encrypt our PDF Files with Azure Information Protection, Adobe Reader Crashes sometimes if we scroll through the slides. It happens often on big PDFs with more than 20 Pages.
We tried to convert to PDF in different ways and compressions but the Adobe Reader keeps crashing. If we decrypt the PDF which causes the crash and open it with Adobe reader, the crashes dont happen anymore.
Thanks for your Feedback!
Florian

Hey Fuwe,
We apologize for missing respond to your query.
As per the situation explained above, "If you encrypt the PDF Files with Azure Information Protection, Adobe Reader Crashes.
If you decrypt the PDF which causes the crash and open it with Adobe reader, the crashes doesn't happen anymore"
It seems we need to make some changes to the Adobe Reader's security preferences. Try this-
Navigate to Reader>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected Mode at Startup" and "Enhanced Security">OK>Reboot Reader now try opening the file again.
Note: Changing the above security settings could pose security risks. We suggest you to turn it back On once you are done with testing.
Try the further suggestions given in the help article here: Resolve Acrobat DC intermittent crashes on Windows
If you have managed to find the solution, please help us with your findings.
Thanks,
