How do I get adobe Acrobat reader DC to support tracking functionality? I have a Mac and I am trying to open a document using Adobe Reader DC but it says "This file requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to support tracking functionality". How do I fix this?

I uninstalled and reinstalled adobe and I have no idea what to do.

Thank you

Hi Jonnyman147,

We apologize for the delay in response.

The send and track service doesn't come up with free Adobe Reader application, in order to use the service you need to subscribe for it. (if you are trying to use the send and track feature).

But the screenshot that you have shared with us that seems like document is not even opening at the initial stage and poping up this message.

So could you please share the file(same that you are trying to open) with us? we would like to test the same at our end to see if this is the problem with the particular document  or with the version of Adobe Reader that you have installed.

**I have shared the email address via private message.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Hello, Thanks for getting back to me. I kind of figured it out. For some reason when I downloaded the document from Safari, the document would not open and that message in my screenshot would come up. I decided to re-download the document using Google Chrome instead of Safari and it worked fine.

I have issues with other things because of Safari but when I use Google chrome, it tends to work fine. Apple needs to do some updating of Safari to fix a lot of the issues like this.

Thanks again for your help,

-Johnathan

Thanks for sharing the information with us.

This would be helpful information that it was a problem with particular web browser, and trying the same with the different web browser resolved the issue.

Please let us know if there is any further assistance is required.

Thanks,
