Adobe Reader DC can't edit PDF

When trying to use the "Edit PDF" function in Adobe reader it asks to upgrade to a licensed product. (Which is already purchased) When I follow the prompt to upgrade it says that it can't be upgraded because it already has a license applied. How do I get around this so I can edit PDFs?

Hi @focused_Everglow5FE7

Hope you are doing well.

As per the issue description that you can't install the Acrobat application to use edit PDF tool. Would you mind sharing a few details to understand the issue better?

1.  What is the exact error message it shows while trying to upgrade?

2,  Windows version?

You could try to uninstall and reinsall the application:

Acrobat cleaner tool:  Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

And try installing the Reader through : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Harsh

@Harsh Vardhan Pareek

I attempted to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Acrobat and that did not resolve the issue. We tried to cancel out subscription and repurchase a new subscription and when attempting to activate I received this error.Adobe.PNG

We have the invoice of the purchase but it's still saying that we need to purchase a license. Please help resolve

Hi @focused_Everglow5FE7

Sorry for the delayed response.

If you are still facing the issue, then please check if you have purchased the subscription on a different email, because this email is not having any subscription active. From this link, you can check the active subscription: https://account.adobe.com/plans

Once you confirm the email then sign in to the Acrobat DC application and check if that works.

If that does not work then, share the email with us on a private message so that we can check the status.

For sending a private message follow the below steps:

  1. Tap my name beside my profile picture.
  2. Tap send a message.
  3. Write your message and tap send.

Thanks,

Harsh
