Can anyone help within this

I am using Reader DC 2019.012.20035 and the folder blob_storage will be created on network drives (when usnig newer pdf-files and open pdf directly from network folder - not from the list of recently used pdf-files inside ReaderDC).

I 've found two other discussions but noone from the adobe staff seems to handle this:

Re: Adobe Reader DC Creates blob_storage folder

and even

Re: When you open the PDF, a folder called "blob_storage" is generated without permission

  • Add to Phrasebook
    • No word lists for English -> German...
    • Create a new word list...
  • Copy

Hi KMEj,

Sorry to hear that you are also struggling with the same issue.

This issue has already been reported to engineering team and they have been working on it. As soon as fix will be available, we'll share the update with you.

I agree its taking longer than its expected to provide resolution and we regret for the inconvenience caused.

Thanks,

Akanchha

It's been nearly 2 weeks since your last comment. Is there an update to this issue? Do we have an ETA yet?

This has been going on since May, updates do not fix the problem. I sure hope a product manager is going to get a stern talking to.

It seems that version ...0036 fix this.

Hopefully that it will not come back with a next version!

Thanks for sharing the update KMEj . Glad to hear latest patch has been successful resolving the issue.

HI All,

Acrobat and Reader official update (19.012.20036) is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates. Or you may refer to the release notes and install the patch directly: DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products

Thanks,

Akanchha
