Hi Adobe Team,

We have some issue in our company for Windows 10 users only.

Adober Reader stop working at all for all Win10 users. I did uninstall for few users and did new install from Adobe.com but still the same issue. Unable to open Adobe Reader. When you click Adobe icon, it will open Adobe Reader only for half second and Adobe Reader disappears.

Regards

Hello Bakulabartosz,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Reader, what is the current version of Adobe Reader installed on the machine? To identify, refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Reboot the machine once and try launching Adobe Reader as 'Run as administrator', right click on Adobe Reader icon>Choose run as administrator.

If Adobe Reader is crashing, then check for any pending updates from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after updating Adobe Reader.

If you are not able to choose the update option, then use Acrobat cleaner tool to remove Adobe Reader Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Reboot the computer, download Adobe Reader from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Locate the setup and Right-click on the setup file and click on ‘properties’.

Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/7 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

Once this is done, restart the computer and locate Adobe Reader icon and choose 'Run as Administrator'.

Disable any security software for a temporary basis during the installation process if possible.

If you still experience any issue, please create a test user profile with full admin rights or enable the hidden admin account and install Adobe Reader and check.

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

I have the same problem in my office. I'm IT in a business, and since last 2 week, I got more and more PC with this problem. I uninstalled completely several time, I tried compatibility mode like you suggested = same problem. I can open Adobe Reader only one time right after the installation. If I close it, I will never be able to open it again. Problem only happen with Windows 10 machine. I tried to uninstall antivirus and reinstall Adobe Reader DC = same problem. I just reproduce the problem on a new mahcine up to date ... I think the problem happen after the Windows 10 1809 update .... I have to check on every laptop I got problem!

I'm waiting for any suggestion, I'm ready to try and give you an answer quickly!

Thanks
