Adobe Reader download

I installed Wndows 8.1 and then tried to install Adobe Reader, but it won't download. It tells me that is already a newer version that is installed, but I have never been successful in installing it. I have tried installing it for several times now and also several days, but still no luck. Can you help me?

As you get the error message "Newer version already intstalled" when trying to install the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC application, please use the troubleshooting steps provided in the following help document.

Please re-install the application from here https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
