Adobe Reader is lagging

for last 2 month at least I have been incredibly frustrated with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

It takes forever for the files to open files, sometimes even small file. When the adobe does open, the screen goes white for a couple of minutes. There are also problems while I work with the documents: on the top of the screen it says that it's not responding and if i move my mouse the screen is just covered in pale white color. I often have troubles saving the changes I have made to the document.

I have the latest version of the adobe acrobat reader, running on windows 10, 64-bits.

Please just fix this, I am a med student that desperately needs the reader to work.

I'm experiencing the same thing too but on my iPad Pro. When I'm highlighting my text it takes a long time for the highlight to appear and before it appears I couldn't highlight the next sentence or word. It's frustrating...Any solution you found?
