Adobe Reader not opening password protected pdf scanned docs with the Apple software updates

I'm unable to open scanned, password protected docs from Adobe Acrobat Reader when using Apple Ipad or Iphone with the software updates.  I can enter the password and open on an Android phone, my PC, and on my Iphone that has not had the Apple software update iOS 13.2.  I am asking for support for Adobe to please update their app to be able to do so as it greatly affects the ability to open protected documents while serving clients in the field.
