I have an issue with Adobe Reader, the file preview in windows explorer stops working with the error "there is an issue with the preview handler". If you run a repair on Adobe the issue resolves itself, however after a few days the issue occurs again. I have tried reinstalling the software with the latest version, clearing temp files and stopping updates however the issue keeps occuring.

Steps to fix-
Go to "File">" Options">" Test Center">" Trust Center Settings">" Attachment Handling". Here, ensure that the "Turn off Attachment Preview" option is unchecked. Tap the "Attachment and Document Previewers" button and then check if the option that says "PDF Preview Handler" is ticked or enabled.

this has also been making me nuts and all find is the outlook suggestion too - i wondered if the same thing was in windows explorer - in win explorer File / change folder search options/ in the folder options/box select the view tab / i unchecked show preview handlers in preview pane and it worked. I don't know if it wil hold, but i hope to remember where to go to check for that if it stops previewing again. hope that helps you too

Hi, I hope that helps fix it for you. I have found the issue for my environment, it's linked to MSEdge Webview - I noticed whenever this updates the error appears and adobe has to be repaired. I'm not too sure how to stop it apart from disabling the updates for edge/webview. I disabled the updates and haven't had the issue since but that also means I won't receive the security updates for be app so it's not a permanent fix. Hope this helps someone as well if your having the same.
