Hey

Having a problem with opening my online pdf forms/files

It started recently (maybe after upgrading to creative suite?)

Bottom line is as i try to open the file to print it starts download and it does it as a .asp file.

What it use to do last week and before is that it would open new window that would go grey with a blue bar filling up and then it would turn in to the document that i could print right of the safari window.

What can i do to get it working again

i am using MacBook with high sierra

thanks

There is no such app as Adobe Reader Pro DC.

Some possibilities include

Acrobat Pro DC

Acrobat Reader DC

Adobe Reader (not DC)

Creative Suite is now 6 years old and doesn't run well on High Sierra. Do you mean Creative Cloud?

Thanks. It could be a web site change, I've seen someone else whose files have mysteriously turned to ASPX. Are you able to open it in Acrobat anyway?

It is almost certainly a change in the site. Unlikely to be related to any other software on the system. Certainly not related to Acrobat, which has nothing to do with the download.

i have tried to open on different systems including pc, mac and it is fine

its narrowed down to my system only

i did two updates

1

i switched from cc illustrator and acrobat pro

2

i took system update from apple

i tied

starting in safe mode to disable everything else

calling apple and being told nothing is wrong on there saide

calling adobe with no really solution

i am sure it is in safari and other browsers seeing or it is missing a plug in

or

it is conflicting with older software

My advice, if you want it, is to ignore all the software except the browser, and look at the web site. You could waste a lot of time using software that can't affect downloads. You could see what happens if you uninstall Acrobat (properly); Safari will fall back on a default viewer that might recognise a PDF is a PDF even if it's called an ASP.

Or, presumably you can just rename it, and all will be well.

LATEST

after changing the .asp name too .pdf and truing to open it i get this message

Adobe Acrobat could not open 'print_rip_tear_burn.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then choose Save as Adobe PDF from the PDF dropdown in the Print dialog.

Tried in Safari, Firefox and Chrome

Worked previously flawlessly and still works everywhere but mine computer
