beginner needs help

i am attempting to edit pdf doc that has a couple of coloured shapes on the document. The y do not appear to be selective. I would like to resize/recolour some of these shapes

Acrobat Reader doesn't edit at all. Acrobat (Standard and Pro) has some very limited editing tools, but it's best to think of them as being for correcting minor typos. Anything else should be done by editing the original document (not the PDF) and remaking the PDF.
