BMP Selection in DC reader for image import

I created a form with  event.target.buttonImportIcon(); in order to attach some images to the PDF. 

The images I need to attach are .BMP format but when I open the form with Acrboat DC reader, there is no selection for a BMP format, only PDF or .jpg, .gif., .png., .tif.

How do it get the BMP option like in Acrobat Pro?

Convert the image. Reader is limited in many ways.
