Can't open Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

New Here ,
Nov 18, 2016 Nov 18, 2016

I started having this problem yesterday. I had a writing assignment to do and I had to open a PDF to do it. I opened the file and immediately Adobe closed on its own.

I've tried opening it on different accounts and it did the same thing! I need to have this fixed because 90% of my schoolwork is PDFs.

Hi ambert88998173,

Could you please try the following steps and see if that resolves the issue:

1- Check for updates, launch Reader>Navigate to Help menu>select Check for Updates.

2- If that doesn't work, try to repair Reader>launch Reader>Help menu>click Repair installation.

Could you please let me know the version of Reader DC installed on the machine?

And, the Operating System you have on the machine-Windows/Mac?

Does Reader closes when you open this particular pdf file or all the pdf files?

I can't get the version because I can't open Adobe acrobat. Even without opening a PDF I can't open it.

I'm on a Windows computer.

I did a restore and it worked but then today when I went to print a PDF I get the message again.
