Was e-mailed an Adobe.com document.  Have Adobe Reader on a Win 7 computer.  This is the link it goes to when I try to open it:  Adobe: Creative, marketing and document management solutions

How do I open my document?  Time-sensitive - court document.  Thanks.

Hi LindaMoran,

As you have received the document in an email, is it an attachment to the email or a link to open the PDF?

The link you have shared above opens the Adobe.com site.

Make sure that you are opening the right link.

Please let us know if the document sent as an attachment to the email or as a link in the email.

If possible, can you share the screenshot of the email you are referring to or can you share it in the private message with us?

To add the screenshot here, please use the insert icon provided in the reply window as shown below:

Capture screenshot.PNG

Once you click on this icon, you get a small window.

Click on Insert Image and then browse the location where you have saved the screenshot file.

Select the file and click on Open > Insert Image.

To initiate a private message, refer the steps mentioned here How Do I Send Private Message

We will be waiting for your response.

Let us know if you need any help.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Sir, I have just tried to reply in a private msg to you and another individual. In both cases, I was getting about 35 characters into the msg when my mouse would start jumping backward. It would take the last letter or letters and move them backward, always at the same spot in the e-mail. I do not know how to do a screenshot, and as the e-mail is rather lengthy it would probably take more than one. I was going to do a copy and paste of the entire e-mail in a private msg. I am concluding, the link was intended to be within the e-mail, but was not. Other than the one link opening a website, all other links were private e-mails. The original came from an attorney. Within that e-mail, it states it was only intended for the party that it was being sent to. Is there some way that there is a program that would prevent the petitioner from sending me a copy? I am the respondent's mother, backing him. He is trying to keep me up to date. Not like he is trying to send it out to just anyone. Thank you.

You can share the screenshot with us in the private message using the steps mentioned here How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud

You can simply send us the link to the image file in the private message.

As you have mentioned that you need to prevent the petitioner from sending the copy to your email address, you need to ask the sender for this.

So when he is sending the document, he needs to remove your email address from the recipient's list.

Let us know if you are referring to something else or have any questions.

Regards,

Meenakshi

You were emailed a PDF and can't open it, is that correct?

The email should say that you have the PDF as an attachment. Right-click the PDF icon and save the PDF to your computer. Then launch Adobe Acrobat Reader > choose File, Open, and open the PDF from wherever you save it.

Does it work that way?
