I am on my remote desktop (I'm a teacher and there's a link to access our school desktop from our home computer) and I am trying to open pdf files and it is coming up with a message that says: "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is not working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program."

Hi Christinap,

Just to be on the same page, you are trying to open a file on the remote desktop and you get the error message you shared above.

As the Adobe Reader DC crashing on opening the file, try to repair the installation and check if the application is updated to the latest patch released.

If you are on windows, to repair or to check for updates, launch the application and go to Help menu.

Then select Repair Installation or Check for updates and relaunch the application.

If that does not work, try the troubleshooting steps provided here Resolve Acrobat DC intermittent crashes on Windows

Let us know how it goes.

If you still experience the issue, let us know.

Regards,

Meenakshi
