Dear Forum,
A children's publisher says to submit picture book manuscripts in spread layouts.
Someone said that they thought that could be done in Adobe Acobat. I was wondering if anyone knew if creating spread layouts could be done in Adobe Acrobat Reader and knew how to do t?
Thank you for your time.
No. Reader can't create or edit PDF files, only display them.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your taking the time to answer.
Would you have a suggestion as to which adobe acrobat to buy--just the basic one.

On Windows: Acrobat Standard; On Mac: Acrobat Pro.
However, this is something the publishing house is supposed to be able to do for you... It's a pretty basic task.

I agree with @try67.
In Acrobat, all you do is change your Initial View to Two-Up, and any publisher can do that.
What software are you using to make the children's book? Is it set to double-sided in that software?

Thanks for your reply jan-e.
I'm using Microsoft Word to type my story. I told my printer to print on both sides but it printed front and back.
I was hoping to get to sides together and was thinking a spread in a picture book would be the two pages that are side-by-side that are separated by the spice of the book. If you turn the page, that is another spread. Maybe can't set that up on Microsoft Word and it sounds like I would need to purchase Adobe Acrobat Standard since I only have Adobe Acrobat REader.

Thank you try67. This would be for a submission from me to them, so it's on me to start with.
Thanks again--Really appreciate your input
