Cannot access Internet after new Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed

Guest

I have Windows PC laptop version 8.1.

When updated Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on my laptop (I think Adobe installed it), I can no longer access Internet on my laptop with Chrome (or with Internet Explorer, which I usually do not use, but tried to use in desperation) - I always use Chrome.

Now every time I attempt to reach a URL in Chrome, the URL times out - I enter the URL, Chrome attempts to open it, and the site times out - I have tried this with multiple URLs, including my email accounts, and cannot enter a website except for google.com (which apparently eventually opens after multiple tries by me to refresh screen) - all other sites time out before I can reach them.

I therefore no longer have access to the Internet on my laptop, and have no other source for an Internet connection.

Please help!

Is there some way to access the Internet with this new version of Adobe Acrobat Reader?

Should I try to uninstall this new version of Acrobat Reader on my laptop (I do not know how to do this)?

and then try to download another free version of Acrobat Reader?

I am looking for a job and have to have Internet access to continue my job search (as well as my other normal Internet activities).

Below is what I see on my laptop when I look at Adobe Reader:
